Vehicles We Smog Check in Escondido, CA
Escondido STAR Smog Check tests cars, trucks, SUVs and hybrids of every make at 1602 East Valley Parkway. The state smog inspection is the same for every brand, so whatever you drive, we can test it when your DMV notice calls for one. Walk in Monday through Saturday, book online, or call (760) 690-2360.
Ranch trucks from the back country and luxury crossovers from town both end up in our bay. Bold makes appear in our own recent job photos.

Japanese makes
Toyota and Nissan are among our most-photographed brands, with RAV4s, Priuses, Corollas, Rogues, and Versas coming through. Honda drivers mention us in their reviews more than any other brand, and Lexus ES sedans are regulars.
European makes
Audi Q5s show up often in our job photos. Volkswagen and MINI owners have reviewed us too, and BMW and Mercedes-Benz take the same state test.
Domestic trucks and SUVs
Ford F-150s, Escapes, and Flexes lead the domestic side, along with Chevrolet Equinoxes, Dodge models, and Jeeps. Call before bringing a diesel and we'll confirm.
Hybrids
Hybrids, the Prius among them, are part of California's smog program, and we test them. Cars that run only on batteries are exempt.
Our STAR smog check page explains what to bring, how the test works, and what happens if a vehicle doesn't pass.
